Recipe

November 30, 2008

Today was a great day for a BBQ. We had roasted hot dogs (kosher, of course) on toasted buns. To go with them: saurkraut and pierogies. YUM! Later on, we grilled some beef burgers and turkey burgers; seasoned with a little worcestshire sauce and served with roasted corn on the cob, roasted red peppers, garlic pickles, fried plaintains, and sliced tomatoes.

For the corn, my daughter came up with a delicious butter to slather on them: mush up the butter and add a pinch of chili powder, a pinch of smoked paprika and a spritz of lime juice. We used about 2-3 TBSP. of butter at room temp of course.

We also had a salad of Romaine lettuce, thinly sliced carrots and apples, a tsp. of flax seed, 2 kirby cucumbers and a dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

For dessert? watermelon, grapes, kiwi, and luscious ice cream!

Can we do this again tomorrow?!
